Helpful Score: 1
The story, the observations and the drawings are vintage Heinrich. His university students are lucky to have him.
The rest of us can read the books. Or go out and listen and observe and keep field notes and sketches just like he does.
It's a good read and a good call to kids of all ages to get out into nature and learn directly from our fellow planetary citizens.
I know I'll look at individual geese, and most other bird, a lot more closely from now on (and indulge in some better binocs).
