My mom loves these books. I'm getting them for her for Christmas. Excellent romance books, funny, interesting. The "Old English" way of speech can be difficult occasionally, but all in all, a very enjoyable read!
Horatia, upon hearing that her sister is being arranged for marriage, to a man she does not love, goes to the Earl, and asks that she be considered instead. Amused, the Earl consents, believing her to be a more lively and interesting match. What follows is a whirlwind of humor, miscommunication, and patience of the Earl with his young new bride.
A great story.
