I'm so delighted to have received and read Beachside Beginnings by Shelia Roberts.

Moira is a stellar hairdresser and colorist [sorry Sheila, I <3 my tight curls aka perms]. She also has a looser boyfriend who, you guessed it, is abusive. Apparently, this does not bother her overmuch, until he kicks her cat, Harry Pawterâlove that name! She packs her meager belongings and heads to work where she explains to her boss. He tells her that she needs to get away or better, disappear. He sends her to his friend Pearl, who owns Waves Salon in Moonlight Harbor.

When Moira arrives with Harry and very little else, she's welcomed to the salon and the town as getting a decent makeover or hairdo here is totally out of the question, for that, you need to go out of town. She settles in and meets the locals. Welcome back to Moonlight Harbor, home of several good friends from previous books by this author set here. I don't like spoilers, so, I'll stop there.

As always, I do adore Sheila Roberts books, I've been reading them almost since she started writing or at least since I discovered her. I'm sure anyone that picks up any of her books will agree. I'm fortunate enough to have received an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review. As always, I look forward to the next one and I do admire her sense of humor!
