Interesting story that surrounds certain people called carriers. These carriers have a blood type that when transfused to another person, it makes them look younger and feel better. Albeit, sometimes there are side effects. These carriers are prized. It is dangerous for them to be out and about for they could be kidnapped and made to work in the blood farms where they may never been seen or heard from again. That is what happened to Ellie's twin brother when she was young and she has been searching for him since. Even getting on the police force to get closer. When she is assigned to the task force that is trying to find the blood farms, she ends up getting in way over her head.
The story was great. Ellie and a few others were likeable characters. Most of them you either like to hate or just hate. They were terrible people doing a terrible thing and, wow, some of those scenes made me cringe.
The only part of the story I didn't really like was it was way too long. Even though the writing was good, it was way too detailed. A little detail is nice but this was excessive. Made it hard to hold my attention at times. Look forward to more by this author though.
