In order to win the bid to renovate a historic home, Mel has to first spend the night. The home is rumored to be haunted and the new owners want it to be a haunted B&B. The current owner, Betty Bernini has been allowed to live in her long time home and she has been assured she has a home until she passes.
This was pretty good. Mel meets another construction contractor- Josh Avery. Her dad happens to know his uncle and Josh has taken over once the Uncle retired. They both are present when Mrs Bernini is murdered. There is also the mystery of the original owners of the house; they were all found deceased in the same bed (mom, dad, and their 2 children- Annabell and Ezekiel).
This was a decent mystery, Mel is a bit more comfortable in her ability to see/communicate with ghosts. Her romance with Graham might be happening. Maybe. I liked Josh's introduction and how he could have been an asshole and pleasantly wasn't. Instead he is over his head and admits it; Mel offers help. I also liked the simple explanation for the deaths of the original owners.
