This book started out great for me. The action was good, and I liked how different it was- kind of like reading a Marvel comic in book form.
The middle of the story is where the book begins to falter a bit. I felt like it got way too wrapped up in all the "emotional" background of a few of the characters, and their back stories really didn't enhance the book by making me like the characters any more or move the story along. It kind of just muddied the waters even further, because the plot begins to get a bit bogged down here as well.
The ending was kind of a let down for me too, because the fight between Trance and the main villain was not really what I had expected.
Lastly, I had some problems with actually liking the main character Trance. I felt that she was a bit too whiny, and she seemed to like blaming others too much for her problems.
I may or may not read the sequel to this one. I'll probably wait and read the reviews before I decide.
