This is the last book in the "Sisters of the Heart" series...so if you really want to know what happens to Grace and Patience, you'll want to read their books first, as they are often featured in this one and it may spoil your experiences reading their stories.
This is a really engaging book! Constance has been in love with her friend's husband, Troy, forever--she dated him first, and after he broke up with her in High School, he fell for her friend Annie and married her. Constance kept her feelings silent and moved away. She has now come back for a party to celebrate passing the bar exam and finds that Troy has dissapeared. Was he a victim of foul play? What happened? Detective Rand O'Neill, a widower who's afraid to love again, is the one put on the case. Annie works with him and before they know it, they're falling in love, but afraid to admit it. Great book with tons of suspense and twists and turns...believable and interesting characters and lots of grace and faith in God incorporated within the story rather that added on in a preachy way.
