I didn't care for this at all. A mother, three bratty kids, and a baby head out to California to join her husband. Instead of being entertaining, it came across as an addle-brained mother who couldn't control her kids. When her kids smart-mouthed her and disobeyed her, she didn't do anything at all - just screamed at them, which didn't help anything. She also couldn't make up her mind which direction to go. She constantly backtracked because she had to go visit some relative that she hadn't seen in a while.
I gave up on it about one-quarter of the way through. Don't waste your time on this book.
