Well written and thoroughly researched, Thomas has provided a thoughtful and unvarnished look at RFK. He was a man of many faults but still possessed greatness and the "what if" still resonates with people today.

It's not a breezy read. The length (400 pages) is not the issue, but it's complex subject and in-depth coverage of many topics requires focus on the part of the reader to get the full flavor of the chapter.

I liked the book and fans of US history, RFK, and great leaders in history will enjoy it as well. My perception of the man changed slightly, but I still admire RFK, what he did and what he attempted to do. It truly is a shame that he was cut down mid life as our country would have been both different and better had he lived a full life. Of course, that's just my opinion.
