Beautifully written, touching story about an unusual and interesting subject. I loved this book and so did my husband. I've always loved elephants and was delighted to learn more about these intelligent, fascinating creatures. This book gets into the heart of both people and animals.
There is humor, pathos, love, mystery, action, and more, much more. The book gives you great insight into the workings of circuses, which until now, have been a mystery to many of us.
It is quite a while since I've read it, but I find thoughts about the story and the characters coming to mind every now and then. Do yourself a big favor, and read it. You'll be very happy you did.
