A teen, on the run, finds himself in the camp of a naturalist who is reintroducing California Condors to the canyon country in Southwestern US.
A very good coming-of-age book. It reminded me of something read in another story...sometimes a person doesn't seem to fit into certain parts of society, no matter how hard he tries. Before society condemns that person, he should be given the oportunity to find his niche.
This is also a good adventure story. Readers will find themselves rooting for this young rebel as he finds himself in a life-or-death struggle to find his niche, and save the birds whom he has come to think of as family.
