My grandson got both special editions (books 1-8) for xmas and we started reading it together. He loved it so much he went on to the other books in the series by the same author. Read everything he could find, and read them at least 3 times.

I also read them and have to admit I was hooked. Very exciting adventure series of friendship while on a quest.
