Two related short stories by the same author. Each story revolves around a M/M couple. 1 vampire and 1 mortal. The sex was plentiful, but not particularly exciting. There are instances of rimming, so if that disturbs you, pass on this one.

The first story was my favorite of the two. It was longer and I felt like I knew the characters better. Both couples suffer from "insta-love". This is usually found in shifter stories. Not as common in vampire stories. As soon as the two men laid eyes on each other, they knew the other was someone very special.

I usually like the idea of mates, but for some reason I just didn't buy it here.
