The Breeze Inn is a place where very classy Southern belle BeBe Loudermilk normally wouldn't be caught dead. But a brief, disatrous relationship with gorgeous "investment counselor" con man Reddy costs her nearly all her worldly possessions. The only thing that's left is a ramshackle 1950's motel on Tybee Island, " drinking village with a fishing problem." Relocating to the beach town, BeBe moves into the manager's unit, vowing to make magic out of mud--and with the help of the inn's cantankerous caretaker, Harry, and her Weezie, BeBe soon has the motel spiffed up and attracting paying guests.
But after a Reddy sighting Fort Lauderdale, BeBe drops everything and heads south with her hastily assembled posse--including Granddaddy Loudermilk snoring away in the backseat of the Buick. The sting she has in mind may be a little outside the law. But with a little luck BeBe will get her fortune back, Harry (who's looking more hunky every day) will get his boat back, and Redd will get the prison stripes he so richly deserves.
