Overall, I'm glad I read A Reliable Wife, it is an intense story about a man and a woman who enter into a marriage, both concealing their motives from each other. In some parts, I disliked the story and in others I was intrigued by it. I read it through until the end, even though I twice decided to stop reading it.
The characters are well written. The narrative often made me uncomfortable, but is also well written. The plot is devious with a few twists to keep you guessing how it will conclude. The ending was satisfying.
There is a fair amount of sexual content, so if you dislike that, I wouldn't recommend this book for you. If you have no problem with sexual themes, give it a try.
