Written by a Jesuit Priest, this series is interesting in its description of the Pacific Northwest. This story is set on an Indian reservation with a history of smuggling gold, drugs and Chinese. The protagonist, Father Mark Townsend visits with his grandparents and it is interesting to finally get quite a bit of insight into his family and upbringing. It seems that Father Mark puts himself a bit too often in harm's way in this installment but I found myself reading it quickly anyway trying to anticipate the outcome. I always enjoy the little insights Father Reynolds includes about the Jesuit order of priests.
