What a fascinating of story of what one person, with persistence, can accomplish. While a little slow to begin, stick with it and by the end of the story you will enjoy what Hulda has created and learned from her "never give up" attitude. Loved the underlying story of her husband and a lesson many could learn today....it is OK for each of you to have your own pursuits, but respect them and the person and your relationship can flourish as much as her garden did. Read the notes at the end to complete the story. Makes me wish it were spring time to go plant some lilacs!
