This is an incredible story of a woman's journey to Italy, India, and Indoesia and her spirtual journey associated with it. It made me laugh, cry and sit in awe. Gilberrt has a beautiful voice and the reader feels as though they are sitting next to the woman, sharing a cup of coffee and discussing her trip.
However, contrary to what the preview for the movie has implied (I have not yet watched it) this book is not a fluffy chick flick. It is a deep spiritual exploration. The reader must have an open mind and heart or may not be able to enjoy the story.
