I really enjoy this series. It doesn't take a deep thinker. That's not saying it's simple. I find she really 'fleshes' out her characters. There are lot's of times when I'm just not interested in knowing the depth of the meaning of life (mine or any one else's.), or the universe, or being green, etc.

I find Charlaine's characters interesting. If you've spent any time in the south there's a good chance you'd have met some-one like them. (May-be not the vampires ;)) I like the fact that I didn't have to start at the beginning of the series. I did go back and read the entire series after I read this one.

Also, I like Ms. Harris' writing style. When I find an author I enjoy, I read every thing they've written. I've been well satisfied.
