Shannon Raine is used to new people renting the cottage next door every summer. This year an attractive mystery man named Garth Sheridan has moved in. Shannon invites him to dinner with her and her friends. She believes that Garth is a writer or poet. In reality, he is the CEO of a company who is working on a huge bid. But other companies are also trying to win that bid and will stop at nothing to make sure Garth doesn't win.

I read this book more than 20 years ago and thought I'd give it a try again. This book felt very dated. The hero was very condescending toward the heroine. He talked to her like she didn't have a brain in her head. He also tried to make decisions for her concerning what car she should drive and which company she should pick to sell her silk-screened greeting cards and tote bags. Thankfully, the heroine stood up to him a couple of times. My rating: 2.5 Stars.
