I completely agree with DAMARIS P. (Dama)'s review. The storyline is pointless and mostly discusses the physical relationship between the main character and her lover whose importance to other characters or other points of the books is never made. There is even mention that it will be explained later, but never is. A complete waste of time. This book gives the impression that it will be an Italian version of Like Water for Chocolate but really, is a poorly mimicked version that has minimal, if any, literary depth whatsoever.
