What an adventure-from London to Jamaica to the Americas and back to London! A whirlwind story that starts with two best friends being torn apart by their fathers and how they come back to each other to find love. Great historical information about the time in history during the war of 1812 woven through this storyline. A lot of the story takes place in Washington DC and Baltimore. I enjoyed the strength of each main character and how they used their assets and didn't let the situation they were thrown into get them down. Lots of little twists and turns to make you keep reading.
