The second installment in Charlaine Harris' addictive southern vampire series, 'Living Dead in Dallas' gently expands the world of loveable Lousiana barmaid Sookie Stackhouse, who in this chronicle is called upon to help find a very old, very missing vampire in Dallas, Texas. Using her unique telepathy skills, Sookie, with the aide of other supernatural beings, infiltrates a fanatical anti-vampire "church" known as The Fellowship of the Sun, encounters a dark creature who exerts an excessive power over the throng of locals, and adds layers to her relationship with her vampire boyfriend Bill. This is an instantly readable series with fun characters and exciting premises, and with Book 2 Charlaine Harris sets the stage for more Sookie sagas, which I will happily devour!
