Actually, the name of this book is QUILTS IN A HURRY, written by Rita Weiss and published by the American School of Needlework.
Rita Weiss explains that now with this hurly-burly world no longer does she make quilts by hand with each block pieced with tiny bits of fabric held together with painstaking stitches with hours of quilting stitches.
In this book, she shares with you some of the techniques that she has learned to enable her to continue making quilts in this world of instant pie crusts, cake mixes and microwave ovens. She explains that she no longer makes her quilts by cutting and piecing and hand stitch. Now she is using rotary cutters, strip piecing, and the sewing machine both to piece and to quilt.
