Overall, not a bad idea for a book...but I just couldn't like any of the characters, secondary ones included. The Hero for most of the book was a jerk, until the end, the Heroine, a little bit naive....
the Heroines' sister seemed too self involved and her love interest seems shallow...Other then taking the focus off the main characters/story, and providing Ms Melton future characters to write about, they (and the other minor characters presented) didn't really serve a purpose in this book...
although out of all the characters I'd have to say I like The Heroine, Jordan best...or rather her dedication to adopting the boy she tries to rescue...despite that everyone around her seems to think that just because she's adopting him, that makes him less her child then if she'd birthed him, herself... (that particular view point annoyed me more than anything else)
Though the story needs tightening this wasn't a bad book, but it has no place on my keeper shelf.
