Former teacher Sam Ford was on the road to nowhere when he chanced upon the New Jersey shore town of Capr May. Then the owners of the Abbadon Inn - an historic B&B under restoration -- made him an irrestible offer;free room and board and a salary to home-school their troubled son. He should have kept traveling.
