This series is still holding my interest as I read them on the bus/subway. The author has good plot complications.
Lt. Sharpe is still unlucky in love and did not even get the promised month of leave as the book opens with the Portuguese and British making a last stand lest they have to evacuate Lisbon. Boney rules the European continent. This volume has an especially exciting end.
