I listened to this on CD instead of reading it.
I did read the other reviews. Many did not like the ending. Although, I would have liked a different conclusion to all of the characters lives, I personally thought the ending was realistic, and brilliant. Yes, it was even shocking.
There are so many characters in this story, and their lives are all interwoven. This story has lots of sex, drugs, alcohol, and violence, and murder. The author seemed to know how to write such events so that overall it was not graphic nor sleezy. Except when it was intended to be shocking or sleezy.
I think this book might be just as enjoyable to read, as it was to listen to. I do recommend both.
