Ted McShane is a burned out New York City cop-and his wife Liz have retreated to the peaceful shore town of Victorian Cape May as the new proprietors of the Abbadon Inn. But the surface calm of their summer is about to be roiled by a series of disturbing occurrences.
First, two teenagers disappear. Then an all-day fishing charter vanishes, lost in the murky depths of the Atlantic. Locals link the chilling events to a century old legend of a creature that is said to prowl the coast in an insatiable feeding frenzy. Ted and Liz are about to discover, land offers no escape.
Something has been roused in Cape May, New Jersey, something somehow connected to the Abbadon Inn. After 100 years in hiding, it's very very hungry.
A very good suspense filled book that keeps you up all night reading it.
