I have personal reasons for giving this book just a 1 star
The subject is very hard to read if you have ever experienced anything with mental illness or alcoholism and in fact I could not stick with it, even though Brady is licensed counselor/psychotherapist she wrote a very poor image of anyone in that field, her main character is drunk and goes to work drunk? really? I doubt that would happen, and she is a mean hearted person and she treats people? really?
The story is very slow and as I read in another review it does not have a good ending at all and just ends abruptly, so you may wonder why I'm putting a review here, it's just a warning to anyone that can't handle the subject matter or an unlikeable character
