Katherine Kirby has a new home and a new job, Houston, Texas, is a long way from Chicago, and teaching adults-highschool dropouts, most of whom haven't sat in a classroom for years-is a far cry from teaching English at a prestigious university. But she has to admit there's something about these students that touches her heart..especially the tall, dark Texan who sits in the second row. (back cover)
