The story follow the Gallatin sisters, although it mostly focuses on Gwen.
Gwen feels as though she has been cursed. Every person that she has let herself get close to has died. She's lost her mother, aunt, father and husband. She is determined not to let anyone else get close to her for fear that she will cause their death too!
This story begins immediately following the death of their beloved father. The 3 sisters are left on their own in the wild west to continue running a stage stop. As they struggle to keep their business alive, an unexpected, troublesome visitor show up.
Hank Bishop claims to be searching for something that Gwen's husband left behind. And he plans to stay until he finds it. He is just certain that Gwen and her two sisters, Beth and Lacy are lying and he aims to find out why.
Beth and Lacy don't take too kindly to this nosy stranger butting into their business and decide to take matters into their own hands.
This book has it all. You'll find yourself laughing, crying, and angry as you read through the pages of this story. Very well written and entertaining, I look forward to reading more of the Gallatin County series.
