I love the Play-by-Play series, and this one was no exception. It was another great installment for the series!

Trevor was a really great hero. Thoughtful, sweet, and caring. Haven came off as a bit immature and somewhat grating, and I got whiplash a few times from her constant back and forth decision making. Sometimes I found myself wondering why Trevor put up with her.

The rest of the gang makes appearances in the story, which enhances it if you've read the other books in the series. It can also easily be read as a stand-alone.

Trevor's "big secret" was completely obvious to me, and I had it figured out way before Jaci Burton decided to reveal it in the story. It was so cliche I literally groaned aloud. Burton just kind of drops it in there at the end and then ends the story. That was a bit disappointing.

Overall, it was a fairly good read, with good chemistry between the hero and heroine. I liked it.

(I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.)
