for anyone interested in sewing new or vintage this is a great book. It also comes with patterns. I personally love vintage clothing and recently purchased a bunch of old 1940's and 1950's patterns to make, but was unsure of how to change the patterns (older patterns have insanely tiny waists and no extra room for us big busted gals). This book has great info and addresses just those issues! Although the author doesn't go into a whole lot of detail on every subject it is packed full of helpful tips and ideas and I think a must have for anyone who sews or wants to sew better garments overall and anyone into vintage.
