I realize this is a work of fiction, but I thoroughly enjoyed how the author brought Job to life for me. It is a book of the Bible I never really enjoyed (perhaps because I didn't understand all Job endured). This book really made Job more real to me. I also appreciated the author note in the book where she explained how she filled in the gaps from the Bible to her fictional work. I was almost sad to reach the end of the book and have to set it aside.
