I have searched and searched for a copy of the soundtrack to this musical, since I'm a huge "Doonesbury" fan, but I have yet to find one. I would like to hear the music, since the script and words are included in this book.

I think this would only be a good show to put on if your whole audience was familiar with the characters already. When it was first produced, in the early '80s, "Doonesbury" was still about people, not so much about politics, as it is today, so more people read the strip and audiences enjoyed seeing Mike, Boopsie, B.D., and the gang cavort around Walden Commune. Today, the show is dated, but it's fun to read gags from the strip put onstage. (TRIVIA: Did you know that Mark Linn-Baker from T.V.s "Perfect Strangers" was the first Mark in the show? Well, he was.)

A nice collector's piece for the "Doonesbury" fan, or anyone who likes theatre.
