Must be the 2nd book in a series...I hope it is a series.

Ex-bounty hunter Marisela Morales has just been recalled to Boston after spending the past 3 months training to be a PI with the co-owner of Titan International Investigations. Marisela has just entered the ballroom where she has been assigned to help protect the rented jewels being worn by guests. She recognizes the tuxedoed hombre de misterio sending her scorching glances across the room as her ex-lover Frankie.

No robbery attempt is made but an assassination attempt is made on a senator. Marisela takes off in pursuit and tangles with a female assassin who proves to be a worthy opponent in hand-to-hand combat...learned as gang members.

The story builds as the death count rises and the assassin eludes them.

This is the first book I have read by Julie Leto but it will not be the last. I do not agree with the 3* rating of this book. Should be at least a 4* if not a 5*!
