This is a good book on decorative painting for a beginner. If you are starting out in decorative painting and like English floral, garden, landscape, and historical themes. You will find good visual samples and patterns to use. I particularly liked the Staffordshire Dogs sample and Castle Conway sample in North Wales painted with an oval lace trim frame.(Castle scenes were traditionally painted on walls of the interior of Canalboats in the UK,Because there wasn't room enough for nicknacks in such tight quarters and hanging paintings was impractical, Decorative painting was both useful and beautiful on the interior walls.)
