This book is for reading level 5.0 (ages 8-12) but it seems that the theme is more 10+. "Clara becomes best friends with Nettie almost the day they meet. Everything about Nettie is wonderful, including her family who seem to live a charmed life, full of warmth and laughter...so different from what Clara is used to.
