I typically read hard sci-fi vs fantasy, but I enjoyed this book. The story is interesting, the characters are complex, and the author creates a consistent and interesting alternate reality in which magic, ghosts and demonic spirits can exist in the real world, and explains neatly why science has never confirmed their existence.
