If you are a teacher with many years of experience, this book doesn't offer anything incredibly new. If you are a parent or caregiver, this book will offer you insight into your child, yourself, and how the two of you learn. It gives ideas for how to meet your child's strengths and handle their weaknesses. It also provides several list of additional reading materials. I will probably try some of the ideas with my daughter. I have a two year old and this was written more for people with older kids who are struggling in school.
