While the book was funny in a number of places, it was usually due to Cupid and Psyche. Aimee and Kenneth were boring and pathetic. I didn't like Kenneth at all. He acted horribly and I didn't think he was worthy of Aimee. Aimee was nice, but she would make a better minor character since there is not a whole lot to her. Cupid and Pysche were funny and they seemed to be good friends (I got the picture that Kenneth and Aimee were more lovers than friends). A few scenes could have been cut out to make the book a little nicer (Georgette Heyer didn't have anything remotely objectionable and she was the best Regency writer ever), but it is easy to skim over a few pages and one can try to ignore it.
