This whole book was a shock; I thought I knew who Annie Oakley was -- but I didn't. Every page had something new about this pint-sized wonder with a gun. This is a quick read because it is so engrossing. Were you aware Annie was married to another sharpshooter? She was such a winner with the crowds because she was modest and had the air of an accomplished artist about her. She knew how to entertain.

In a story full of surprises, don't miss her meeting with Sitting Bull. It proves that the truth is stranger than fiction. This is a great, quick story about a real Western folk hero.
