I've wanted to read Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister since it was published over a year ago. Everything finally aligned last week. I enjoyed the audiobook expertly narrated by Lesley Sharp.

Many are likely familiar with this novel's premise. Late at night as Jen waits up for her 18-year-old son Todd, she observes a shocking crime - Todd stabs a man in front of their home. After a terrifying night at the police station, Jen dreads the next morning when she and husband Kelly have to deal with the aftermath of Todd's actions. But when she wakes, it's not the next day but the day before the crime, and then the next morning it's two days before. How can this be? What is happening? Was Jen dreaming then or now?

I was fully invested in this story and along for the ride wherever it took me. Just when the "traveling back in time" trope became repetitive, the tension really picked up and pulled me back in. I enjoyed that the author revealed major plot points as little comments in the story - this novel demands the reader's full attention to appreciate it. I was surprised how facts revealed completely changed my perception of the characters.

This was a very cleverly written suspense novel and I'm eager to read the author's recent release Just Another Missing Person.
