Phil Robertson, founder of the Duck Commander business, lets us into his life in Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander. We are taken behind the scenes of what you see on Duck Dynasty and finally understand why they are the way they are.
Phil takes us on a journey starting with the time he wasnt such a Christian. His early days were spent drinking and getting into trouble until he found God at the age of 28. From then on he decided to live a life by the gospel. Phil is very up front about his mistakes and it is the reason he is the man he is today. He stands his ground when he believes he is right but when he is wrong he will admit it. He and Ms. Kay instill in their children the Christian way of living along with the skills to live off the land.
I did not watch Duck Dynasty much before listening to this audiobook. Now I enjoy the television show. There is more than meets the eye in this family and I see the entire clan in a different way. I may not agree with everything that they do or believe but at the core this is a family that base their life on living it the best way they know how.
