Allen McKinney and Jessi Chandler were born enemies. Their families have been feuding for years. Now tragic circumstances have brought them together. The death of their best friends, John and Patti, left them as joint guardians of baby Hannah. They fly to North Carolina to take care of her. Can they work together? Will the attraction they feel grow and flourish? This story has such emotional depth that it brought me to tears. Allen and Jessi are such amazing characters. They have been hurt and are afraid to take a chance on love, but caring for Hannah changes all that. Hatteras is the perfect backdrop for this romance. I enjoyed the cast of characters, some new, some not. This book is fast paced and addictive. I couldn't stop reading. Katherine Garbera has the skill to write empathic characters that you care about. This is a wonderful story!
