I usually love Loretta Chase, but I had a problem with this book. The hero and heroine are thrown together while looking for the heroine (Bathsheba)'s missing daughter Olivia. Bathsheba is more angry than worried about her daughter missing and I never got the sense of frantic urgency and worry that one would imagine a mother would feel if her 12 year old daughter was missing. Granted, Olivia is written as an unpleasant child, but I would have thought that Bathsheba would have exhibited more concern about finding her daughter and less time stopping frequently for sex with the (admittedly very appealing) hero.
