Although I was delighted to see these fun characters again, SUPERGIFTED just didn't have the snap that the previous book had. This story picks up after the last one, with Donovan Curtis and Noah Youkilis being bussed to the Academy three afternoons per week, but regularly attending Hardcastle Middle School. Noah revels in being 'normal.'

In this episode, uncoordinated Noah becomes a cheerleader. But that's not the real story. Donovan finds out that Noah is going to Hashtag's house to beat him up (an impossibility) for threatening Donovan and the dog, Beatrice. Donovan gets there in time to avert a tragedy. However, when everyone wants to know who did such a marvelous thing, Donovan has to keep quiet because admitting he was on that street would get Beatrice sent to the Animal Shelter (for a terminal visit). Donoval hopes things will die down, but they don't. So, Noah admits it was him -- and the fun begins.

I like that the author continued telling the story with different characters (in each chapter) telling things from their point of view. I have to admit that middle school is much more interesting than when I was in school.
