This was a very sweet book and extremely entertaining. I loved that it had both of those pluses and taught a very important lessons to children.
First not to believe everything you hear about people. get to know them yourself.
An older person and a child can have friendship. Some of my children's sweetest friendships and memories were with elderly people. They were just as much their friends as their peers, perhaps even more so.
The loneliness many elderly face and their need for friends too.
THe unselfish, desire to give the best.
And the forgiveness and continued love when there is a misunderstanding.
