Little Daniel knocked on all his neighbors doors peddling his family's old junk. They had already sold all the good things. Ever since his dad died last Christmas, it had been hard for his mother to make ends meet. Finally they had run out of money and the landlord had run out of patience. So Daniel thought, if he could just earn a little extra money selling stuff, they wouldnt' have to move.
His mom tried to stay positive. She kept reminding him of what his dad had always said in hard times. All is well! Lately his mom didn't seem too convinced herself.
As it turns out the answer was in his box of old Christmas ornaments and in the heart of their neighbors. This is a wonderful classic not only for children but for adults too. IT reminds us of God's boundless love and faithfulness to care for His children.
Peretti as usual uses vivid descriptions and grabs the readers attention. Beautiful illustrations. My grandchildren were riveted to the books as I read it. This is a unique and wonderful addition to Christmas books for the holiday, but would be great all year round. Outstanding!
